Lake Granbury is a North Texas reservoir near Granbury, Texas. It was created in 1969 and is one of three lakes damming the Brazos River. The lake has a surface area of 8,310 acres with a maximum depth of approximately 75 feet. Residents enjoy boating, wakeboarding, water skiing, and fishing. The fish population includes Largemouth bass, Striped bass & white bass, Channel & flathead catfish, White crappie, and Sunfish. Recreational areas include Thorp Spring, Hunter Park, City Park, Rough Creek, and De Cordova Bend.
